Redwood County received a $1.25M Local Road Improvement Grant to reconstruct CSAH 1 through the City of Clements. The scope of work includes new aggregate base, bituminous pavement to a 10 ton design standard, pedestrian ramps, curb and gutter, sidewalk, LED street lighting, and upgraded storm sewer. The total project cost is expected to be $1.7M. Sanitary sewer and watermain may also be considered as part of the project, pending city funding of these utilities on CSAH 1. The project layout will be finalized in September 2021, design plans and specifications finalized in February 2022, project bidding in March 2022, and construction starting in May 2022.
The Highway Department is seeking input from residents and commuters to share the vision of CSAH 1 through the City of Clements by completing the brief survey below. Survey will close on August 16, 2021.
An in person, public open house will be hosted on August 2, 2021 from 4 – 7:30 pm at the Clements Fire Hall. All are encouraged to attend!
